How do I apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA)?

Apply at https://www.etakenya.go.ke/en within 2 weeks before your trip, including necessary documents like passport photos and itinerary. The process usually takes 4 days.

Where can I buy a SIM Card?

Safaricom, a telco provider in Kenya is the market leader and with the best national coverage and better offers. You will need your passport to purchase a sim card and can be paid by Visa or Mastercard at the Safaricom outlet. 

Is there WiFi available?

WiFi is available in many camps/lodges, but connectivity varies. Mobile networks are widely accessible in urban areas.

Are there health vaccinations required?

Yellow fever vaccination is required only if arriving from an endemic country, but it's recommended. Consult a doctor for malaria prevention and other necessary vaccinations.

Is there a risk of Malaria?

Malaria is at low risk in Nairobi and its immediate surroundings but precautions are essential. Avoid mosquito bites by covering up with clothing such as long sleeves and long trousers, especially after sunset, using insect repellents on exposed skin and, when necessary, sleeping under a mosquito net. Check with your doctor or nurse about suitable antimalarial tablets.
