Welcome to Kenya! Upon arrival in the bustling capital city of Nairobi, you will be transferred to your beautiful hotel to settle in and shake off the jet lag. In the afternoon you will meet the motorbikes, make any necessary adjustments for your comfort, and get a comprehensive rider briefing to go over the route, safety, and what to expect on the Kenyan roads. The rest of the evening is yours to acclimatize and prepare for the adventure ahead.
Today's route takes you through sweeping valleys and winding country roads up to the equator town of Nanyuki. As you ride, you will be treated to spectacular, looming views of Mount Kenya, Africa's second-highest peak. Upon arriving in Nanyuki, you will have lunch and visit the Mount Kenya Wildlife Sanctuary to stretch your legs and get your first taste of the country's incredible conservation efforts before heading to the hotel.
Today offers a fantastic change of scenery as you descend from the cool highlands into the dramatic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley. The ride features curving roads that drop in elevation, bringing warmer air and stunning panoramic views of the valley floor. The highlight of the day is a thrilling, exclusive evening ride through the Soysambu Conservancy. Here, you will experience the absolute magic of riding a motorcycle alongside wild giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species before navigating back to your camp for the evening.
Leave the Rift Valley lakes behind as you steer your motorcycle toward Kenya's most famous wildlife reserve, the Masai Mara. The route takes you through the fertile, rolling farmlands of Mau Narok, offering a glimpse into the agricultural heartland of the country. As you approach the Mara region, the landscape opens up into vast, sweeping savannahs dotted with acacia trees. The anticipation builds as you cross into the territory of the Maasai people, arriving at your lodge just in time to enjoy an African sunset.
Today, give your motorcycle a break and trade two wheels for four as you embark on a full-day safari in a 4x4 vehicle with an open roof. The Masai Mara National Reserve is globally renowned for its exceptional populations of lions, leopards, cheetahs, and the African bush elephant. You will spend half a day exploring the deep corners of the reserve, tracking wildlife, and enjoying a scenic picnic lunch right in the heart of the national park, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the wild. In the afternoon, you will visit a traditional Maasai village to learn about their fascinating way of life, ancient customs, and their harmonious relationship with the surrounding wildlife.
It is time to get back on the bikes for the journey back up into the Rift Valley. You will ride out of the sweeping Mara plains, navigating dirt trails and paved roads as you make your way to Lake Naivasha. This beautiful freshwater lake is nestled at the highest elevation of the Kenyan Rift Valley. The ride offers a fantastic mix of terrains and stunning valley views, culminating at a beautiful lodge where you can spot wild hippos grazing on the lawns under the cover of night.
Your final day of riding takes you from the shores of Lake Naivasha through the southern escarpments of the Rift Valley. You will enjoy the last few sweeping corners and breathtaking viewpoints before navigating your way back into the urban energy of Nairobi. You will arrive with plenty of time to return the bikes, freshen up, and do some last-minute souvenir shopping in the city to commemorate your unforgettable Kenyan motorcycle adventure before catching your evening flight back home.
